Having first met her last September, we were captivated by her creative energy and the unwavering vision that has propelled her brand to international acclaim.
Founded in 2009, Kismet by Milka has become synonymous with bold, modern jewellery that seamlessly blends craftsmanship with individuality. The brand’s signature aesthetic has attracted a devoted following, with icons such as Madonna, Britney Spears, Naomi Watts, and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, among those who have embraced its designs.
A defining innovation of Kismet by Milka is the introduction of Roselow Gold, a patented shade of gold that reflects the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries in fine jewellery. During our conversation, Milka shared her thoughts on what London represents for her brand.

Luxury Endless: Could you tell us about the journey that led you to launch Kismet by Milka?
Milka Karaağaçlı İnce :It all started from a place of intuition and curiosity. I never set out thinking, “I’ll build a jewellery brand.” There was simply too much I wanted to say—too much I needed to express—and jewellery became my language. I’ve always been drawn to creating designs that feel personal, powerful, and full of emotion. In 2009, I followed that inner voice and launched Kismet by Milka with the desire to break the mould of traditional fine jewellery. I wanted to create something that felt different—designed for women who are independent, and always evolving—just like the designs they choose to wear.
Luxury Endless: What inspired your passion for jewellery design, and how do you channel that into your creations?
Jewellery has always been my way of expressing what I feel, what I can’t always put into words. I’m inspired by people who challenge the norm, who live with creativity and authenticity. That energy drives me. Each collection is a reflection of that spirit, and with every new design, I push myself and my team to explore new techniques, new forms, and new ways of storytelling. It’s about constantly evolving, staying curious, and creating something that resonates on a deeper level.
Luxury Endless: How does your Turkish heritage influence the aesthetic and philosophy of your designs?
Growing up in Istanbul meant being constantly surrounded by heritage and contrasts; East and West, ancient and modern, complexity and simplicity. That sense of duality has deeply shaped my perspective. My heritage has taught me to value meaning in design; whether it's in the symbols I use, the details in craftsmanship, or the stories behind each creation. There’s a unique cultural richness and depth that I carry with me, and I always try to reinterpret it in a way that feels fresh, contemporary, and true to who I am.
Design & Craftsmanship
Luxury Endless: Can you walk us through the creative process behind your collections?
It often starts with a feeling, a visual, or even a sentence I’ve heard that stays with me. From there, I begin sketching, shaping ideas and refining forms while thinking about how the design will connect with people. Each collection carries a distinct emotional narrative. I collaborate closely with our Design House throughout the entire process from carving the wax model to setting and polishing, making sure every detail feels intentional. It's a constant process of fine-tuning until the design finds its perfect balance.
Luxury Endless: What materials and techniques do you prefer working with, and why?
Gold and diamonds are always at the heart of what we do; they carry meaning, permanence, and strength. I love the warmth of Roslow Gold; unique and patented colour that we uniquely created and mix with yellow and white gold colours to create multicolored designs so that everyone can find what truly resonates with them. I'm also drawn to bold stone choices; emeralds, rubies, sapphires; each one brings a distinct energy and character to the design. On the craftsmanship side, we’re deeply detail-focused. We work with traditional jewellery-making techniques, refining them with modern finishes and forms to create something that feels both familiar and fresh. Form is just as important as material. I’m fascinated by contrasts; sharp angles softened by curves, sculptural silhouettes that feel powerful yet wearable. Each form is carefully considered to create balance and flow, so the design feels effortless on the body.
Luxury Endless: How do you balance the traditional craftsmanship of jewellery making with modern trends?
By challenging traditional craftsmanship with innovative designs and techniques. I closely observe culture, art, fashion, and everyday life. I design based on emotion and intention. While our foundation is rooted in classic jewellery-making methods, we constantly look for ways to push boundaries; whether it’s through unexpected forms, inspirational combinations, or new approaches to finishing. The goal is to create designs that feel current, yet have the strength to evolve.
Luxury Endless: What is the meaning behind the name “Kismet” and how does it reflect the brand’s identity?
“Kismet” means destiny or fate. I chose it because I believe that meaningful connections in life don’t happen by chance, they happen for a reason. That’s the spirit of the brand: intuitive, powerful, and meant to resonate. Each design is created to help people find something within themselves; a reflection, a feeling, a form of self-expression; at exactly the right moment. This belief extends beyond jewellery. From the way we design to the spaces we create, like our piercing studios in every store we’re here to help individuals feel seen, challenger, and in tune with who they are. Kismet is about owning your path, your identity, and your transformation.
Luxury Endless: Your designs seem to convey a sense of storytelling. Is there a specific story or emotion you hope your jewellery evokes?
Absolutely. Each design is a channel for expression: crafted to capture the energy of transformation, confidence, and individuality. I want people to wear our jewellery and feel powerful, seen, and aligned with their truest selves. It's not just about beauty; it's about intention. Every line, stone, and detail is designed to spark something within; whether that’s courage, self-belief, or the thrill of reinvention. It’s the same with our piercing experience is personal, and curated to empower. The story is always personal, and the emotion is always real.

Our in-store piercing studios are a perfect example: they represent our belief that luxury should be personal, interactive, and creative. We’re not here to follow the rules; we’re here to rewrite them. Our designs are made to evolve with you; not to be locked away, but to be lived in. That emotional connection, that sense of self-expression, is what truly sets us apart.

What began as a dream is now a reality. And not just anywhere; on Bond Street, a place that symbolises prestige, heritage, artistry, and fearless visionaries. To stand here today, in the city where I took my first steps as a designer, isn’t just an achievement. It’s proof of what happens when challengers dare to believe. Professionally, it marks a new chapter for Kismet by Milka; a statement of our global ambition and the power of building something authentic from the ground up. With our full-service piercing studio and a space designed for self-expression, we’re inviting people to experience jewellery in a way that’s intimate, raw, and exciting. Personally, it’s a full-circle moment. London has always inspired me, and now, having a space here where people can connect with our designs and energy firsthand feels incredibly special.

London represents energy, change, and momentum. It’s a city that values creativity, individuality, and craftsmanship are all pillars of our brand. Launching here is not just about presence; it’s about connection. I see London as a launchpad for deeper conversations, collaborations, and community. Now, as we open our doors on New Bond Street, we’re not just celebrating a store. We’re celebrating the challengers; the risk-takers, the reinventors, the ones who live life on their own terms. Because this isn’t just a milestone. It’s the beginning of something even bigger.

Luxury Endless: For the London store opening, did you create any special or exclusive jewellery designs? If so, what inspired them?
For our 15th anniversary, we’ve created a special collection that honors the milestones we’ve reached and the journey we've been on. While not exclusive to the London flagship store, the designs are a celebration of transformation and individuality; values that have shaped the brand from the beginning. Each design reflects the spirit of evolution, with intricate details that reveal themselves over time. This collection is a testament to the growth of Kismet by Milka, and the people who have been part of this journey.
Luxury Endless: Are there particular highlights or challenges you experienced while expanding your presence to London?
The biggest challenge was also the biggest reward: translating the soul of our Istanbul-born brand into a new context without losing its authenticity. But every challenge brought clarity about what matters most is our message, our community, and our purpose.

Luxury Endless: What is your favourite design from your collection and why does it hold a special place for you?
That’s like choosing a favorite child, but if I had to pick, the No. 43 Necklace and Confetti Necklace hold a special place. One is inspirational and challenger; the other playful and expressive. Together, they reflect the duality in all of us. They remind me of why I started: to create jewellery that moves with you and express you.
Luxury Endless: How do you hope your jewellery makes people feel when they wear it?
Empowered. Expressive. Connected. I want each person to feel like they’ve found something that truly reflects who they are or who they’re becoming.
Luxury Endless: Are there any personal experiences that deeply impacted the way you approach design?
Absolutely. I’ve gone through moments in life that cracked me open, and others that filled me with light. Those emotional shifts are what shape my designs the most. Jewellery became a way for me to process, express, and honour those moments.

Luxury Endless: What are your plans for the summer holidays?
I plan to spend time by the sea, recharge creatively, and be with the people I love. Nature is where I find stillness and clarity; it always helps me reset.
Luxury Endless: Could you share some tips for vacationing in Türkiye, places to visit, experiences not to miss?
Türkiye is a country of contrasts—where ancient history and modern life are in constant conversation. Of course, the Aegean coast is stunning Bodrum, Alaçatı, and Bozburun offer sun-soaked days and crystal waters, but there’s so much more to explore beyond the sea. Head east to Mardin or Kars to experience a completely different rhythm; where architecture, cuisine, and culture reflect centuries of layered history.
The Black Sea region, especially places like Sinop or Rize, is full of lush landscapes and deep-rooted traditions. And if you’re passionate about food, cities like Gaziantep are culinary goldmines; every bite tells a story.
Walk through Edirne to follow the footsteps of Mimar Sinan, whose architectural legacy still defines our cities. Wander through the bazaars, visit local artisans, and let the texture of everyday life guide you. Türkiye is not just a destination; it’s an experience of depth, diversity, and soul. Go with curiosity, and it will meet you with magic.
Luxury Endless: Are there specific design of jewellery from your collection that you plan to take with you on vacation this summer?
I love summer stacks, so my go-to jewellery always changes. I’m always trying different mix & match combinations and playful stacks. But if I have to pick a staple: definitely my Confetti Necklace; it’s vibrant and joyful, perfect for sunny days. And a few fine, layered chains that I never take off. I believe holiday jewellery should feel effortless but still tell a story.

Luxury Endless: What are your plans for expanding or evolving Kismet by Milka in the coming years?
We’re focused on deepening our presence in key global cities, continuing to build meaningful community, and evolving our collections to reflect the times. Growth for us is not just about more; it’s about better, deeper, and more connected.

Absolutely. Collaborations are an exciting way to merge worlds and spark new creativity. I’m drawn to working with people who are authentic, challenger, and visionary; no matter their field.
Luxury Endless: How do you stay inspired and continue pushing creative boundaries in the jewellery world?
By staying curious and open. I’m constantly learning, observing, and reflecting. Inspiration comes from art, music, travel, even a conversation. I also surround myself with people who challenge and inspire me, it’s the only way to keep evolving.
